Fits my 77 Lincoln with a 400 motor.
I tried the Edelbrock 1207 air cleaner, but it dropped too much to clear the fuel lines and AC compressor lines. The 1221 has a taller internal flange right where it meets the carb so it sits higher on the carb, but clears the motor components better.
The filter is a straight-up 14" round filter that is 3" tall and can be replaced with any compatible generic filter. Functionally, it is a good match for most motors that need the air cleaner to sit higher above the carb (as long as you have room under the hood).
I only gave it four stars because I prefer that it had no logo on it and have a lower price. Otherwise, it's a 5-star product that works.
Not new
The item in the box was obviously used... it had odor of gasoline and had wear marks where the top clamps down. It was disappointing but at least it wasn't dented. Thankfully, the filter was new.
