Replacement for 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Death wobble and bump steer can be an issue with ZJs when they get older (180k on the clock for me). I used this to replace my oems that were shot (found that out after removing - suspected some issue but had no idea they were that far gone), and together with new ball joints, they did the trick! Also, the steering feels much more responsive - like new! The ride is also more in control with less sway.
I got such good results here, I'm going to start replacing the back ones next. Just make sure to do replacements one at a time. For me, it also helped to have a big ratchet strap and a second jack because I needed to do a little repositioning of the axle to get the holes on the passenger side to line up so that I could get the bolts through.
